namita Thanks for the detailed response.

pintukr Are you sure 655+ is enough to boost the profile? My assumption is that minimum eligible GMAT scores for M7 are 700+ for profile consideration. Please correct me if I’m wrong. Thanks!

You are welcome.

If you are an Indian applicant, aim for a score above 695 preferably.

EpicFlask - As noted above, M7's don't offer GMAT/ GRE waivers, while some US T15 programs do.

We've had some applicants with waivers who successfully made it to some US T15/ 20 MBA programs (including with scholarships), so it's not unprecedented.

Having said that, unless you have a clear spike in professional experience (e.g. analytical strengths, international exposure etc.), it's advisable not to request for a waiver. The GMAT/ GRE score is the primary (and objective) datapoint that AdComs use to filter candidates, especially those from competitive applicant pools e.g. Indians/ Engineers.

Hope this helps.

Hi all,

Researching GMAT waiver availability across M7 and T15 US MBA programs, specifically for international applicants with engineering undergraduate degrees.Applying for 2027 intake.

Specific questions:

1. Do any M7 programs - HBS, Stanford, Wharton, Booth, Kellogg, MIT Sloan, Columbia - offer GMAT waivers for any applicant category? My research suggests most do not, but wanted to confirm from people who have applied recently.

2. For non-M7 programs that do offer waivers - has anyone with an Indian engineering undergraduate degree successfully received one? What was the key factor that made the case?

3. Does the waiver typically affect scholarship eligibility at schools where it is available?

4. For those who applied with a waiver - what is the right time in the application cycle to request it? Early in Round 1 or does it not matter?

5. Any schools in the T10/ T15 range I should be looking at that have waiver-friendly policies?

Would be happy to connect with who have been admitted through GMAT wavier.

Thanks in advance!
