Hey members,

I am an Indian, I have a degree from IIT Kharagpur, and have a work experience of 2 years now as a software developer, I have recently decided to give a GMAT and apply for an MBA program abroad. It is the end of August now, I can see that top business schools have deadlines for round 1 in September- October, I haven't given my GMAT yet, is it still possible for me to give my GMAT by the end of October and have a fair chance to get into Business schools in 2nd round, is 2 years of work experience sufficient to get an admit, I have a 7.7 CGPA in my UG. I started preparing for GMAT a week ago, can do well in Quant(Math), need to work on the Verbal and Essay part.

What about scholarships, is it possible to get a scholarship in round 2? Is it too late to begin the process?

I also wanted to know if there is any Executive MBA program which helps us to work as well as do MBA abroad. If yes, can you provide some references, which would really help me?

Thank you very much

I think you should aim for next year as average experience is around 3.5 years. Then you will have enough time to do well on GMAT as well and you will be able to improve your experience and extracurriculars.

Best of luck

deepthiiiiii - a lot depends on the quality of your experience. Can you ace the GMAT by end of October - absolutely (assuming that, being an IITian you don't need to work on Quant). Also, given your alma mater.. you should be able to get in a top B school if you have worthy accomplishments at work.
