Dear friends!

First of all, I would like to thank all of you for your help in organization of my trip. Now, I’m preparing for the flight on Thursday. Before our meeting I think it would be better to know a little more about one another. Therefore, I would like to ask you send me some information, such as age, photo, education background, current position. I will arrange all information into one booklet, add my info and send to all of you. My e-mail: awalker$ukr.net (substitute $ for @). (I promise not to use gathered information for other purposes)

The next question is a place and time of our meeting. Can someone offer a good place and reserve a room for at least 10-11 persons? Otherwise, I will choose and reserve when I arrive in NYC.

See you on Sunday
Yours, Walker

Depends on what kind of place you want to meet at. Restaurant, Bar, Club,

I think a club is too noisy.... A separate room in a bar/restaurant... would be better....

GMATBLACKBELT, If we were in Kyiv I would definitely choose separate house in restaurant outside the city in beautiful forest or even separate small restaurant boat with excursion along river Dnipro. It is not so expensive and the best places to spend time. I would be glad to see all of you in Kyiv :)

I would suggest a bar, but not a separate room. I like the idea of sitting and standing around grabbing drinks. Getting separate room would cost $$$ and some effort, and maybe not as many people would show up, so I don't want one person to be responsible or let down.

I imagine we will have around 6-7 people, so a bar to hang out will be sufficient. I like the 'informal' vibe better as we get to know each other with drinks.

Anyone underage? I hope not..
What you guys think?

You are right, bar is better and informal is important as we are all different: age, current position, country.....

So, It seems that all are busy bees... I will find a bar with good beer on Manhattan and post address here on 26 evening

What do you think about time? 6:00pm?

Thanks! my 10hours flight ended and I'm now in New Jersey. It seems that I fall in love with Big Apple. Night views of lower Manhattan are so beautiful!

Ok so I can pick a few bars/restaurants. So it is agreed we will meet on Sunday April 27th right?

I'm somewhat new to manhattan myself, but I know a few places to go to. What time would you all like to meet?

Downtown is fine. Uylesses or trinity, although I don't know whether these are open on Sunday. I heard Uylesses and that whole area opens up the street in the summer. I could give them a call.

what about 230 5th? it may be a little pricey, but you can't beat the view and there's a lot of seating on the rooftop !
