Help please? I can narrow this down to D or E but I'm not sure if there's an easier way to solve this...

Any root of any number, greater than 1, will always be greater than 1.

100 root of 4 will be greater than 1.
1000 root of 4 will be greater than 1.

Likewise,
4 root of 4 will be greater than 1.
3 root of 4 will be greater than 1.
2 root of 4 is 2.

Add them;
2+GT(1)+GT(1)= GT(4)

Ok i get it now, didn't get it during the exam.
Any 4^1/2 = 2
4^1/4 = 1.414
therefore 4^1/3 has to be greater than 1.414, maybe 1.5 which will make the answer > 4

Even I got this Q on my GMATprep.. I had almost chosen a wrong answer before it suddenly flashed to me that square root of any positive number greater than 1 is always greater than 1, be it 1.0001 or 10000.
So, in this question, 2+GT1+GT1= GT 4

I may also point out that I got this question after 10 straight right answers. So IMO either this question is 51 level or this is a test question. If its the former then well, a reason to feel good isn't it :D
