I recently took a gmatprep test and scored a 760 (50Q,42V), but I only missed 4 questions in the verbal section! I know it's difficult to gauge a gmat score based on the number of correct questions, but I know the two are correlated. Is this typical of a 42V score? I really want a 45+ verbal score, so I suppose I'll need to hope for higher-level questions on the test, which count for more, or simply get every question correct.

It is a hard question to answer.
I think the main message here is that you are doing very well and getting a high Verbal score even if you are making only 4 mistakes. You may be even better next time.

My 4 verbal errors were all SC problems.
