Hello Experts,
I gave my GMAT on 9th June and Scored 720(Q50 V37), But my IR score took a bad hit, I scored a paltry 3/8 on it(due to a health issue). Prior to this attempt I scored 690(Q49 V35) and 7/8 on IR. Can I use this score to show that my present IR score is not reflective of my ability in that section or should I consider retaking the GMAT. I plan on applying to bschools this season and am confused on what to do.

Hi naren87,
Your 720 is an excellent score, and considering many business schools are still trying to figure out how to factor in IR, feel free to reach out to the admissions officers at the schools you're interested in. They'll be able to give you a better idea of where you stand, and if your IR score is truly an issue, you'll at least be aware of it.

Since you posted this in another Forum, I've copied my response from that post:
A 720/Q50 is an outstanding score, so you should apply to any Business Schools that interest you. Many Business Schools have publicly stated that they do NOT factor in one's IR score when evaluating an application, so in real basic terms your IR score does NOT matter. Whether a School pays attention to your IR3 or IR7 is not an issue.
