Hi All,

I applied to 4 schools for an executive MBA 2019-2021 batch and got admission in all - Kellogg, UCLA, Ross and MIT Sloan. Following are my comparison notes. I really appreciate any additional perspective and guidance in making my decision.

Kellogg
USNews Ranking 3
Economist Ranking 9
Ivy Exec Ranking 1
TopMBA Ranking 4
Cohort Size 70
Fees $214,397
Travel $14,400
Hotel $0
Scholarship $0
Total Expense $228,797
Pros -> Good global brand, overall strong curriculum of general management, wide options of elective courses
Cons -> Have to travel bimonthly as I am not local to Chicago, Most expensive in all options

UCLA
USNews Ranking 8
Economist Ranking 21
Ivy Exec Ranking 12
TopMBA Ranking 9
Cohort Size 70
Fees $167,890
Travel $0
Hotel $0
Scholarship $0
Total Expense $167,890
Pros -> As I am from South California, better access to campus, electives and other activities in the school.
Cons -> The Cohort seems junior to middle mgmt students

Ross
USNews Ranking 6
Economist Ranking 15
Ivy Exec Ranking 8
TopMBA Ranking 18
Cohort Size 40
Fees $168,000
Travel $0
Hotel $0
Scholarship $15,000
Total Expense $153,000
Pros -> Good leadership focused curriculum, They have satellite office in LA, so no travel, Cost effective among all options
Cons -> Being studying in satellite office in LA, no access to campus and other elective courses in Ann Arbor.

MIT Sloan
USNews Ranking 10
Economist Ranking
Ivy Exec Ranking 9
TopMBA Ranking 2
Cohort Size 65
Fees $178,302
Travel $19,200
Hotel $8,800
Scholarship $0
Total Expense $206,302
Pros -> Alignment with Technology - my core expertise and aspiration, Cohort avg age is 41, generally very senior executive people and heavy focus on strategy, innovation and entrepreneurship which is my interest area
Cons -> Have to travel to Boston every 2-3 weeks, The program is relatively new, Ranking is comparatively low, Less West Coast Concentration

For executive MBA program i think your cohort is the most important factor. You want to be with other top executives. For that reason i vote for MIT.
