My GPA from a small state school was an unimpressive 3.26. While going to school I was working full-time and taking 18 credits each sememster and summer courses. Will schools care or take this into any sort of consideration? Will schools care that I want to a small state school instead of a nationally ranked program?

Assuming schools don't care about the circumstances for my grades, how much can I make up for this in the form of work experience and/or GMAT score?

Any and all advise, or pointing me in the direction of where to find such information would be greatly appreciated.

Honestly, you're close enough to the average that they won't care too much, as long as you get close to 700 with at least 40/40 on Q and V.

With a 3.26 and other jobs and bla bla bla, and a balanced 700-something score, you should be clear on the academic side.

That's only about a third of the formula for most b-schools. There's you as a person, and you as a professional. Without any work experience, you're going to come short as a professional.

Thanks for some insight. I'm just not sure how much any of this matters. I've been considering law school too and addmissions there is a straight numbers game, either your in or your out, the person matters only in like .5% of all admission decisions, or to pull people off the wait list at the last minute. I'm not sure how heavily B-school admissions weigh these things as well in comparison.
