1) 8A + 20B = 2(4A + 10B )= 300. We can express 100A + 250B as 25 (4A + 10B). Sufficient.

2) Clearly not sufficient

Question: 100A + 250B = ?

Statement 1) 8A + 20B = 300 -> 2A + 5B = 75 -> 50(2A + 5B = 75) -> 100A + 250B = 3750

Since A answers the question alone it's sufficient.­
