there are 6 groups of 3 people each. each shakes hand with people other than those of his own group. how many handshakes are there?

i dont exactly remem the ans.. but if u put the soln i can say whether its correct or wrong.

9 handshakes possible between any 2 groups.

and 6C2= 15 such interactions possible 2 groups

15 * 9 = 135 handshakes

G1 G2 G3 G4 G5 G6

Hand shakes possible only between different groups.
So No.of two groups possible = 6C2 = 15

No of hand shakes between two groups = 3C1*3C1=9

TOTAL HAND SHAKES = 15*9=135
