I just don't understand one thing, why don't schools just release decisions at once instance?! I mean no glorified fedex package notifications, mysterios unrelated status updates or exclusive admit calls two days before decision.

Just update everyone's webpage at 9:00 AM on the decision day. Voila!!

I agree 100%. That's the way I would do it. Receiving a personal phone call by itself wouldn't make me more likely to attend a particular school.

Big time!

On another note, how serious do you think they are about admitting younger people into the program? Like, say, people with <2-3 years of WE? Would you have a ballpark figure for such admits from R1, if that is available on the database? Just wondering if there is any substance to it at all.

Theres no way to get this info from the database... I have no idea... I met a few with 2-3 years during admit weekend so I think they do.

FYI... from Adcom:

You read my mind! Celebratory drinks are definitely in order tonight. I got the call around 3:00 EST and feel very relieved right now.

Requested stats: 28 years old, male
- 6 yrs work exp - 3.5 engineering / manufacturing, 2.5 years consulting
- 2.9 gpa top 5 undergrad
- 3.5 year top 5 grad engineering (published rankings)
- 770 / 6.0 GMAT

I don't like to give you guys more anxiety, but just saying it like it is..

I just went through R1 thread at Chicago forums...

Been waiting from morning. looking at the guys with admits and given the fact that iam local (SF Bay Area), iam faaaaaasssssssstttttttttt losing hope.
