Thanks for asking! You have to wait for a week to get the answer - coming next Tuesday on 5/12!

I think she's gotten into UCLA and Stern(with significant scholarship). I base this on her excellent GMAT score and an uncommon professional path and a post MBA goal. I have always felt these colleges to put a lot of emphasis on the GMAT scores(Purely my observation no particular proof). While a low score might not guarantee rejection, a 760 mostly leads to a sure shot admit with a good scholarship at these universities (Stern in particular; Again purely based on my observations).

It appears that the individual has researched extensively into her choices and given her desire to get into the entertainment industry, and my assumption of a hefty scholarship due to the high GMAT score and the demographic, I would say that she picked one of the schools on the coasts

Without making too big of a faux pas and embarrassing my self, I am going to venture out and say that this is a strong profile. Interesting that this was a re-applicant and I am surprised they did not fair well in their last attempt. This year should have been a decent year for applicants actually, so I am going to be bullish on my prediction :-)

I am going to venture out and say that Anderson and Stern are the "perfect" programs for this profile. The GMAT score is amazing and quite a bit higher than average at those programs so I am surprised no scholarship.... is it really the undergrad GPA/Pedigree or the work experience that have contributed negatively? I am also going to say that this applicant got an MIT admit but not Yale (Yale is a much smaller program and can be picky at times)

I'm guessing she's a re-applicant because her GMAT was substantially lower than 760 the first time. Probably has a lower GPA too like you said.

Also, based on her story, she was in 2 industries (Healthcare and Financial Services) and now wants to shift to a third after bschool. Although she's capable of changing industries, the story doesn't seem coherent and she hasn't shown any proof of success and strong interest in the Entertainment industry besides the course she took and recent networking. Stern and Anderson could take this profile because of the high GMAT and strong overall work experience. But I could see Sloan and SOM potentially not accepting because of that lack of coherence and the fact that Entertainment is an unconventional industry for them.

So, interesting game but I dont think there is enough information here. Yes, there is demographic information but American 28y, reapplicant isnt enough. It could be a first person in her family to go to a university or although she is American now, she could have had a very different childhood (interesting essay material!). Other pieces of information would be strength of her essays and interview skills. Final bit is about round of application. All of these need to be added to round out the applicant profile.

Anyways, I concur with bb that she has a decent-strong profile for all these schools. My vote for MIT and Yale as MIT loves re-applicants who show a detailed and a thought out process for themselves.

Oh great I am not late to the party

The profile is best for Stern and UCLA

If I had that profile, I would have made it into Stern, willy nilly
