I am a BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) graduate by qualification. I graduated in 2012. Thereafter I didn't choose to continue in the field and started to attempt competitive exams for employment in public sector Financial institutions.I cracked many exams and finally chose to join State Bank of India in 2013.After working for 3 years in retail banking, due to posting constraints in SBI I started looking for alternatives and managed to get placed as Grade-A officer in one of the financial regulators through entrance exam in 2016(almost all the offices of Financial Regulators are located in capital cities). Now, I am desperately wanting to change my career as I feel I am lacking challenge and motivation to work in PSU environment. To give my career a push, I am looking at PGP from ISB as I want to be in Hyderabad.I will be extremely grateful if someone could guide me on my career. Request you to consider the following facts: Age: 32 years and I Am mother of 4 yr old now (I believe taking care of my son would be a challenge while pursuing the management programme). Pay: My current CTC is 21 Lakhs (It may look big now but the fact is that there may not be any good growth 5-10 yrs down the line ). Promotions: My organisation has very poor HR policy hence, I dont have any hopes on that.
I regret for not thinking of MBA earlier but also feel that its better to be late than never. Considering the above pls suggest on my future course of action. Thanks in advance.

Transitioning from a field where you are settled in and doing well into uncharted territories can often seem overwhelming. However, if you feel stagnation in your career, it is always advisable to take a break - upskill yourself and then start afresh.

While it may not be the most ideal time for MBA, you must definitely explore avenues for making a switch if you feel stagnated.
For starters, you need to figure out how you are going to make time for GMAT prep, post which, you will need to go through with the exam. The actual application work can commence once you have cleared your GMAT (you can even get started sooner but we would recommend you take it one step at a time).
