itoyj: It would be great if you can share further details of which verbal areas for you seem harder than others. In general, practicing too much may not necessarily improve the verbal score. What is proven to benefit all test takers is the ability to analyze each and every OG question in excruciating detail. Have you been analyzing your responses and doing each answer choice analysis in detail. If not start doing it now. Can share more insights based on your specific problem area. There are already many great posts out here .
Asking below questions as quoted by EMPOWERgmatRichC are good to ask for every mistake on a official question(specially in a mock test). This will definitely help you analyze the mistakes:
1) Because of a silly/little mistake? 2) Because there was some verbal concept that you just could not remember ? 3) Because the question was too hard? 4) Because you were low on time and had to guess? 5) How many Verbal questions did you 'narrow down to 2 choices' but still get wrong?
Could you provide us with some more details on how you have been studying?
-- For how many months and how many hours per day have you been studying?
-- How have you been scoring on your official MBA.com practice exams?
-- How have you been scoring on the actual GMAT?
-- What is your score goal?
-- When do you plan to apply to business schools?

I have been studying regularly from past an year 4 hours a days and more on weekends, but from past 4 months I have been studying for more than 6 hours daily. For verbal I aim to score above 45 I wish to apply in R2
On official exam my score have been very fluctuating, one reason I can think of is the relaxed state/ overthinking When I sit to write an exam, I overthink a lot and end up marking a wrong answer And when I am just leisurely sitting and solving questions without thinking much I am able to solve questions correctly
During my practice test I have been scoring above 35 but in actual exam I bumped down to 24
Also, which specific section in Verbal is bothering you the most?

In the mocks given in past 4 months I have beens stuck at around 26-29 in verbal Before that in January or before that I was scoring in early 30s
I really can't figure out any specific section that is troubling me
But yes I get that most of the questions that trouble me are the questions in which I am not able to comprehend "context"/"meaning" perfectly be it RC or CR or SC though I have been able to work on SC but rest are just stagnant
Solving powrscore CR my accurate was about 80-85% Solving OG, my accuracy both in SC and CR is above 85% But still the actual score is too bad
