Thanks a ton for the review, Donna. I guess I was just being paranoid given the amount of 760+'s Indians churn out every year :)

Also, thanks for the Wharton-specific insight, I'll make sure to incorporate that into my application. Since I'm applying in R1 next year, I do have enough time to work on it and I'll gladly reach out to schedule a consultation when I start the process.

I guess I'm shifting towards not writing the GMAT at this point in time(Yea, I'm still mulling it over. Did I tell you I was crazy haha). My rationale for re-writing was that if a score increase might net me even a $5k increase in financial aid, that would be a 16x ROI on my money(50$ for test prep,250$ for the test).

I know this is a hard thing to answer and I'm not going to hold you to a black/white reply but do you think the exact same application with a 780 as opposed to a 760 gives me a shot at larger $$'s in financial aid? Another way of looking at my question would be - Is my current score of 760 enough(assuming an outstanding application) to net me a really good scholarship(Let's say $100k) at the target schools I mentioned? I'm just looking to understand if the GMAT might be a bottleneck(even if a minor one) in my efforts to obtain a large scholarship, especially given my over-represented demographic.

Once again, thank you for taking the time to go through my posts and responding to me. I really can't stress how helpful this has been to me. :)

Regards,
Vignesh

Hi Vignesh,

I want to first echo what Donna said about your excellent score and background - you are a very strong candidate for the schools you are targeting. A 760 GMAT score is already excellent - although there is certainly a chance that you would slightly improve any scholarships with an even higher score, I think you are more likely to improve scholarships by focusing on and strengthening the other aspects of your applications, especially by using the same time you would invest in retaking the GMAT to partnering with NGOs as you mention, and diving deeper into your psychological and financial literacy mentoring, for example, so you will also be able to truly stand out in that area as well.

I know you are applying next year in R1, but I would urge you to take advantage of our free consult sooner than later, so that we can discuss all of this with you further and help maximize how you invest your time between now and when you begin your applications. Let us know if you have any additional questions, and best of luck to you!

All my best,
Soterios
