Congrats! What's your next plan?

I am in a dilemma myself HongHu. I am considering applying in the fall of 07 for MBA/Msc Finance. I am a working mother of 2 small children (3.5 and 1 year old!! ). We are settled in London and I have to look for some place commutable from home. Moreover I am 31 years old. I am still weighing all the options I have.

Commutable from home leaves me only 2 choices in what I consider the elite cluster - LBS and LSE. Oxford/Cambridge are too far away for me. Other than these 2, I am interested in Imperial Tanaka as well.

Can I ask what you are doing now, after your wonderful score. I understand you too have children. How are you able to manage all this.

Remgeo, if you need any help with LBS, I can offer you as I will be an alumnus of the school in about 4 weeks :) Feel free to PM me should you require so. And good luck!

Ahh I can certainly relate to you dear remgeo. My two children's 7 and 4 now. They are my greatest accomplishment. :D

I'm going to enter Simon's MBA program this fall, and am still considering doing a PhD (Health Service Research) / MBA dual degree. Simon is my only option because my family is physically located in Rochester. Graduate studying with kids is hard, but can be done. You just have to be more efficient than other people, and try to use every bit of time to its potential.

Best of luck to whatever you decide!

Hong

Thanks a ton Paul !! I will definitely be requiring your guidance and expertise. That was so kind of you. I will be coming for the information session in LBS for MBA on Wednesday.

Good luck to you too HongHu. Yes, I agree. We definitely have to put in more effort. I had a taste of it during my GMAT :) I was pleasantly surprised when I read your posts that I was not alone who is a working mother of two children trying to fulfil dreams such as this. Your posts have been a great inspiration for me. Thanks
