hi NS

Copying responses to your questions from the Haas Waitlist FAQ section.

https://mba.haas.berkeley.edu/admissions/faq.html

1. 5) Personal statement – You may submit a new statement to update the Admissions Committee on any significant changes in your professional or personal life since your application was submitted that will add value to your candidacy. Relevant updates may include a promotion, change in employment, updated test score, enrollment or completion of a quantitative course, etc. You may also submit a personal statement if you wish to clarify your career goals or, particularly for those intending to switch careers, provide further detail on steps you have taken to prepare for your career transition.

2. 3) Quantitative ability – If you feel you have not sufficiently demonstrated quantitative ability through your undergraduate and graduate level coursework and/or your quantitative subscore on the GMAT or GRE, you may wish to enroll in a statistics or calculus course at a local college, retake the GMAT or GRE, or do both.

best of luck.

Indian applicant. R2. waitlisted after interview. Still very unclear about
1. the update letter - what exactly should it cover. Mix of professional and personal updates?
2. it is frustrating to not have any actual names of quant courses you can do. I am concnerned i will do something that is not recognized. Any suggestions?

On the first page of this thread, there are some posts from user fbpointgod10, looks like that person has been accepted, so I guess that's where the 1 is coming from..

I got the call earlier today and updated my profile quickly so the stats were more accurate but I didn't make any posts. It's been a long seven months since I applied in round one. Good luck to everyone else on the waitlist. Hopefully there will be more offers made soon!

R1 - when I checked last week, it said 'Waitlist', not sure if that's indicative of anything

Exact same thing happened to me - R2 waitlist. If history is any guide, these status updates are completely spurious (but I still check every couple of days anyway)

Are you int'l 2017mba? I'm guessing that is why we are getting this vs others as we are supposed to have an outcome by June..

Nope, I'm a domestic, NYC-based application. Probably means nothing, I'm just anxious to have a final answer either way

well, I guess it did mean something after all - just received the official ding. Disappointing after all these months, but at least I can focus on my admit. Good luck to all you remaining!

Same here - also disappointed obviously.

Confirming it here as it is useful information for next year's waitlisted who are searching for meaning behind the nebulous statuses
