Applied in R2, waitlisted. 6 years work experience in state government/nonprofits. 650 on the GRE (720 Q, 600 V, 5.5 Writing). Incomplete on the quantitative & stats prereqs. Pretty sure my lack of quantitative background tanked me. I had hoped to take the math waiver on May 10, but ended up stuck in Denver until 3.00am traveling home from a work meeting, and was in no condition to take a math test at noon, so I cancelled. Guess I should have gone for it!
also dinged about 20 mins ago. R3, 710, math & stats prereqs complete. Undergrad engineering, 10+ years exp, last 6-ish in the Bay Area with startups. Thanks for letting me read along guys!
OK. Dinged! At least they didn't put me on waitlist once again. I was fed up of being in Limbo since Jan!

Sorry to hear that. I know it's been long wait for you too. I am WL again but I think there might be at max 2-3 seats that will come up if someone chooses other school. WL at this stage might be same as dinged
R2 WL here - Denied Admission! Profile : 710(Q48,V39);completed pre-reqs; 9 yrs WorkEx in IT Consulting; Female;Project Management; good extra curriculars!
Somehow, I'm unable to leave this pursuit and move on. I'm planning to apply next year with a bang!
Question to IT folks who got admission: How did you make your profiles diverse and special? Please share your stories and inspire us!
I took the stats waiver today. It was quite easy and I finished it with 45 mins to spare. Just study the chapters mentioned on pawanagarwal's blog. If you read the concepts from Andersen, Sweeney and solve the example problems and the Self study problems, that'll more than enough (I'm sure you won't have time for all the exercises). They encourage you to list the steps that you used to derive the answer. So, even if you don't get the exact answers, you might be fine.
