Hi - first time poster here, but have been following this thread for awhile. Am a R2 applicant and invited for an interview. I read the other posts regarding the interview questions - do you think the interviewers will ask the same questions going forward? Seems as if R2 and R3 applicants would have an unfair advantage. Thoughts?

There are other websites you can use to look up questions from previous years. All but one of the questions I got were the same that they had previously used. It's a pretty straight forward interview. They're just trying to see that you know what you want and can talk to someone you haven't met before without a problem. Relax and be yourself. If they want you, they want you. If not, there's nothing you can do about it.

Thanks for the comments packet. Which question was the one that the other sites did not disclose?

The interviewer is not there to trick you. She will try and do is get to know you, learn about what you've accomplished, and determine how you'll fit in with the rest of the cohort. The interviewer will ask you to run her through your resume, discuss how you've demonstrated leadership, detail why the Berkeley MBA is right for you, and maybe one or two other general questions. Be prepared to ask relevant questions at the end. Ask something you're truly interested in learning, don't ask something that can be found on the website.

I recommend that if you haven't interviewed in a long time, practice answering some general questions ahead of time to get a feel for what it will be like. The interview is pretty laid back and is designed to be a casual conversation, however, remember that you're still being interviewed.

My advise :
Know your resume, your switches and highlight your career progression.
and be relaxed, the interview is quite conversational.

Hope this helps.

Hi,
I just joined GMATClub.
Congratulations to those who've been admitted!

Haven't had a chance yet to scour all the posts but this seems like an active thread.

I applied in R2 and I've been invited to an interview. Any tips on how to go about preparing for the interview? What questions to expect?, etc..

Cheers!

Thanks kavinmba!

Could someone clarify on how long it was before their status for the pre-requisites changed? Has it changed already for any of the R2 applicants?

I'm also a R2 applicant, transcripts and letters of rec are received. My prereq for math is still blank but stats shows "incomplete" - changed a couple weeks ago.
