I havent heard anything either ugh..... I emailed the WL manager before for an update, she got back to me promptly but I dont want to keep pestering her. If anyone contacts her and hears back I would really appreciate any insights.

On the main hbs gmat club thread (calling all applicants) and on the hbs blog there was a link to class stats. It says how many have been admitted and plan to attend (currently 940). Well, based on the admissions director's blog, I think the class of 2016 it pretty much finalized. It appears that the only admissions from the waitlist will now only occur if a currently enrolled student drops out over the summer. I would assume that there may be a couple of these, but I don't expect any movement on the waitlist in the near-term. Just my gut. Could be wrong.

Hey. New to the forum but I've been reading it for a while. Round 3 WLer. I'm curious how you guys read this line from Dee's blog post yesterday: "These numbers will change slightly - there will be some “summer melt” and we hope to still be able to make a handful of waitlist offers." The "and" seems to suggest that there may be one last small movement on the waitlist in addition to any offers that result from summer melt. If that's the case I'd imagine those decisions would be made in the next few days. Did you guys read it that way, or do you think the "and" is more accurately understood to mean "so" as in "These numbers will change slightly - there will be some “summer melt” SO we hope to still be able to make a handful of waitlist offers."?

yeah this is my gut too - but I find it strange/sad that no-one, not even a lurker was one of the 20 invites they were supposed to give to WListers. If I remember clearly, it was a May 7/8 that said 20 people admitted off WL by Jun 1. This was prior to R3 admit notifications, so maybe yield was higher than expected. So far since May 1, it does not seem like there have been any admits off the WL - If so why the May 23 communication?

meh if she had said 'and we also hope...' then maybe. However, if 940 people have paid their deposits and the class is targeted to be 930-939, summer melt seems like only way you're getting in off the WL. the way I read it, she wanted to say 'so we hope...' oh well, I guess I should enjoy one last summer in the mid west :D :D while I study for the GMAT and plan my comeback kid strategy!
