Hi people of GMAT club, had a questions and would greatly appreciate support.
Am applying to HBS and one of my recommenders has asked me "what format does the recommendation need to be written in"? I assumed it was just text boxes that he has to write in, but apparently there is something that needs to be uploaded. I've asked my other recommender what she did (but she hasn't responded and now I'm kind of worried what she did because apparently her recommendation is already done!!!)
I don't want to ask the harvard team directly because they will think that I am influencing my recommendation.
Any assistance would be great. Would just a simple pdf with the two questions and the answers be fine??
thanks everyone

Hello, maranello, and welcome to the community. According to what I can find on the HBS website, the recommendation form includes the following questions... and must be completed online. Perhaps your recommender wanted more space than the amount that was given to write what he would like. If anything needs to be uploaded, then I think a more traditional approach could not hurt--a recommendation written on official university (or company) letterhead, for example. I imagine just about any professor would know how to draft such a letter, so commonplace are recommendations in that profession. I do not think, in a pinch, it would hurt to contact admissions to ask about the format of the letter of recommendation, in any case. I would bet plenty of other applicants have also run into a similar situation with their recommenders.
Best of luck. Please let us know how it all turns out.
