what kinda applicants make it to Harvard ?

I never saw any one from Gclub who made it to HBS...

Actually, you wouldn't want to have an 800. 0%, hmmm. Either Harvard rejected ALL its 800 applicants or none applied to Harvard. The first case is more believable.

cpetro was waitlisted. There was one admit here. I know lots of HBS people - honestly, its basically random. I know their profiles well, and know some of them personally, it's a lot of luck. You need a good strong profile (or be a minority), but otherwise, it's basically random.

i was at a bar this weekend and started chatting to this girl, when her male friend came over and said "hey this is kate, she just graduated from harvard business school!" he was joking and trying to build her up, so i smiled and said "no way, i just got rejected from there!" it kind of killed the conversation.

This is correct.

I'd agree with this too. I feel extremely lucky. At no point in time did I ever feel like my odds were strongly in my favor. I went to an HBS info session, and everyone on the alumni panel said the same thing.
