Hi all,
I'm applying to HEC as my number 1 BSchool. I apply to it and I will wait for the result of it before eventually thinking of others :)
I would like that we share our points of view about this school, its program :)... I think that some of us would be glad to have more information and a debate over this school :)
Why do I appreciate this school?
> The atmosphere :)... One feels it since he has crossed the entrance door. People have a helpfull and warming attitude. The focus is done on a collaborative mode :)... It's my natural preference ;)... Competition among one another is already all around, at least, not too much in the HEC MBA.
> The international participant : more than 80% are foreigners. It's exactly what I'm looking for as the key improvment of a global understanding :)
> The program length is adequalty fitted to me : 16 months. That's just enough to transform myself and to not remain too longly out of a concreate occupation.

Hi fig,
I must admit I'm not very knowledgeable on this school... could you tell me in which way does HEC differentiate itself form INSEAD? (I'm asking that because I saw you were highlighting some positive aspects of HEC - e.g. international environment, not too long program - that happen to be positive aspects of INSEAD too)
How would you compare the two schools?

I think LBS would also fit in the profile you described, it may be a little bit more competitive, but it is international and you can finish its programme in 15 mths (without the internship).
INSEAD (and IMD) is a very compact and intense programme, if you enter in the summer you do not have the intership option as you have in the winter intake, however, is a much more known institute than HEC is (this is not my opinion, it is what I know by reading, perusing ranks and asking people).
Personnaly, I think most of the european programmes are much more "global" in terms of student's nationality than the american ones. The good thing about HEC is that if you do not speak French, 16mths is better to learn, than it is the 10mths from INSEAD

... I'm convinced that this spirit is that of a huge family and that it is present in all people from this school. It's true for the staff, for the students and for the alumni, of course
