Hi everyone, am totally new here and would like to talk to those who have an experience with HEC Paris. Am now 28 y.o., Russian, have about 6 years of working experience, but have never passed neither GMAT nor TOEFL. Have about a year ahead of me to pass those tests and than am willing to apply to HEC Paris for Sep' 2010 intake. Anyone here with similar plans? Anyone who could advise anything useful? Am considering ESSEC as a second option; generally would like to find job in France or in a French company in Russia afterwards. Will be grateful for all comments and tips.

Hi,
So now that I am accepted, scholarship hunt starts! It seems the time is tight (by the 23rd!). No sleep during this weekend (as usual?)

Under the link in the acceptance email, you see "Confirm Offer". Does anyone know how this is tied to the deposit? I did not know that selecting "Accept" automatically generate a response email to HEC! What does it mean "very low commitment" & accept?

Does anyone know by when the deposit is due?

I think "confirm offer" is just a way of letting them know that you are interested in HEC as most of us get calls from multiple institutes. On their website they have mentioned that we need to pay in one month, but I think we should get a mail regarding the payment schedule early next week.......

Congrats to those admitted!

The deposit payment deadline is usually one month after you receive your admission decision. As for the intranet, it really doesn't matter whether or not you accept or decline there. Only when your deposit is paid will your place be confirmed and will you be placed on the waiting list for housing at Expansiel.

I'm fairly sure that you can apply for all scholarships available to you. I think that only these scholarships you are eligible to apply for are shown in the view to begin with.

Good luck with the application essays! According to the non-U.S. schools list in this Forum, 90 % of the HEC students do get at least some scholarship. So I think it's worth putting some efforts in order to maximize the amount you can get

If you are referring to the Int'l schools list it states that close to 90% of the students receive financial aid. This includes loans as well. I can tell you that it is just a small percentage of students who receive scholarships (grants which don't have to be paid back.) However, the scholarships available are pretty generous so you should definitely apply.

Does anyone knows about a waiting list at hec? Is anyone in my situation or have been in this situation in previous rounds ?! The situation is that I have no news.. No admit, no Ding! No news at all lol...

Thanks, but I find it quite strange as they told me specifically that jury is on 17 and that I will get an answer on the "same" day. I got nothing on thursday, then I sent a mail askin for news on friday but nothing which is quite strange again as they usually reply quite quick...
So sure I'll call tomorow to put an end to this suspensss... Anyway, if any other in the same case, would be glad to hear from u..

Hey,all the admits in previous rounds:
normally how long have you waited for the result of scholarship after that deadlines in your rounds?
Btw, since I've just got the email including link and corresponding password to login intranet, but without official admission letter like other guys, am I already accepted or not?

You can find the 2009 placement report in the intranet.

Go to https://intranet.hec.fr and log in as "Admitted" with the provided username and password. Then go to Careers > Presentations, Newsletter and Stats and click on the folder Placement reports with a "+".

No, the Admitted username and password for the intranet is communal. If you haven't received an email for this, you will. Otherwise, if you can't access it, it means that someone has changed the communal password again.

For new admits, please don't change the password to the intranet!

Hi mates... M in tooo! i didn't get the mail from HEC due to a technical pb so that's y i got the news so late... Anyway, the deadline for scholarship is even more tight for me noww and I read there were essayS to complete and that we should work hard for it, but that's the case only for EIFFEL & l'OREAL scholarships, right ? All the others doesn't include any essay...
