Here's the update:

Waitlisted for the Park Fellowship. Consolation prize: $22k per year.

And don't forget, Duke has LRAP (loan repayment assistance program) to help us poor hippies make those loan payments once we return to our low-paying jobs.

And now?

Cut all the Crap about Money. Follow your gut.

If i were you, i will attend all the admit weekends and will choose a school based on my peers, with whom i am an gonna spend 2 valuable years and develop a life time friendships

Does 10/20 K makes any difference in the long run?

Any way it's me.......

whatever you choose, All the best

For a tree hugging, soy milk drinking NPO girl, 20K a year is a lot of money. Heck, even for most of us, that's a big chunk of dough. It's like 50% off price of tuition!

Did Cornell say when you would find out about the waitlist? Or do you have a make a decision based on the WL?

If you can shack up with another hippee back home, and Cornell is willing to match Duke's offer, then stick with the local crowd. Nobody knows your stomping grounds better than yourself. Locals rule, period.

If on the other hand Johnson decides to be stingy, then join the Blue Devils.
