Thanks for everyone here, the forum had helped me a lot on my application process!
Now I am choosing between Hopkins Carey business school and ESADE, would love to hear some advices.
I am 25, worked in in healthcare industry for three years in the States. I am a Chinese citizen, so VISA is a issue whether I choose Carey or ESADE. If I choose Hopkins, I am definitely gonna stay in healthcare industry and hopkins brand name is great for that, but the cons are Carey being a new school, living in baltimore and program is very expensive. ESADE has great program, but I never study/worked in Europe, I am excited about it but I am worried about building career post MBA.
Congrats on getting admitted!
You may want to see my post about Hopkins and ESADE I just made:
https://gmatclub.com/forum/ie-vs-esade-240074.htmlhttps://gmatclub.com/forum/jhu-carey-bu ... 40261.htmlIn general, the recommendation is to attend the program in the geo area you are planning to work.
If you are hoping to stay in the States, I would go to Carey, esp taking your Healthcare connection. Otherwise, ESADE is a stronger overall program for reasons I have outlined in those 2 posts.
You are young and achieved quite a bit! Great job! However, not having substantial work experience may be a bit of a disadvantage for a rising star like you, so staying close to home (healthcare) may be a safer and more prudent move. There is no telling how the economy or visa situation will be in 2 years when you graduate so don't stress over that at the moment. Look at what can provide you with the best career options.
Congratulations and good luck!
