well i have been forllwing this site for quite a few days now. you people are doing a great job.well i have certain questions regarding my final preparation strategy.
1] how good is barrons for doing math portion as find it's math problem of a comparable level to og and kaplan.
i have already completed sc and 60% of cr's and rc's from og 10th edition(all twice). i did ds from og long back (bfor 3 months) and am planning to do it again within a couple of days.
i am also simultaneously doing math portion from kaplan 800. since i feel they have given gr8 sums and ds and even greater explanations for ds and sums.
2]i don't have any kaplan book but i have the software borrowed from my friend--> kaplan 2002. So what should be my strategy --> to do kaplan cd or barrons --> if time permits. i also have a longtime query about most of the people on this forum advocating use of kaplan all the time when i feel certain math portion in barrons and verbal portion in some other books are as good as kaplan.
3]i haven't given any tests. so which should i start with kaplan or og and how should i go through them.
4]i am now confident about sc and even rc(to an extent) but not much about cr. i have almost a 60% accuracy in cr and have only done it from og. what should i do about cr --> any specific strategies for cracking cr or any tips from any books??
5]from where can i get good awa tips and specific strategies as i haven't focused on this part at all.
6]Is og and kaplan verbal portion sufficient or more is needed. take the time i have left with me into consideration.

My personal opinion - STAY AWAY FROM BARRON'S!!!!!!!!!
I found them too easy and found multiple WRONG answers in their book.
The KAPLAN books and CD are good, I especially like the 800.
Have you run through the Challenges here? They are EXCELLENT, and if you can handle them the Quant will be no problem at all.
For verbal, start reading The Economist and the Wall Street Journal, it will get you thinking in the correct grammatical style. Also, run through the Reading Comprehension questions more often than you feel like at first, because a lot of peope find those difficult.
My own real-deal GMAT, by the way, is March 14 so I know how you feel. Good luck.

I agree that you should stay away from BARRONS.
At this time, you should try to do CATS from PR and GMATPrep (if you haven't already done so) and should start going over the OG once again especially the questions you got wrong.
You can take the CATs from Kaplan, but 2-3 days before the exam might not be a good idea as Kaplan tests are harder and might lower your confidence=(
I know exactly how you feel as my test is right around the corner.
