Need some tips on the math section, the damn answers are already provided, choices A thru E, now I need to find the right one.

Any quickie solutions or tips on how to figure out the "right" answer versus calculating the full problem by hand (and potential making one mistake which will throw you off)?

thanks!

billpritjr, in order to maximize your math score, it is better for you to understand the concepts. Once you do, the calculations should be fairly easy since GMAT problems are geared to be completed within a 2 min. time frame. Some problems on this board may require more time to comprehend but once you grasp the concept, the calculations are really not that complicated. Trying to find an easy way out may work for easy level math questions but once you reach the tougher ones, trying to outsmart the question will just jeopardize your score. Try out a few of the math questions on this forum and you will find out a lot of tricks to help you out in your quest. Good luck

Backsolving? or picking numbers?
Some problems can be solved fairly easily with logic, but not in GMAT condidtions when you are very strictly timed.
