Hello sv2023,

I hope you are doing well. Your academic and professional background is truly impressive, and the schools you've already chosen are highly reputable for your MBA applications. As you contemplate submitting two more applications, let's explore institutions that best complement your career objectives. Here are some recommendations:

Harvard Business School (HBS):
HBS has earned a strong reputation for cultivating effective business leaders, and its case-based teaching methodology may synergize well with your consulting expertise.
The school boasts a robust network and resources for individuals passionate about making a social impact, aligning with your long-term goal of contributing to LGBTQ+ brands.

Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth:
Recognized for its close-knit community, Tuck's smaller class sizes offer a more personalized and collaborative learning environment.
Tuck's emphasis on teamwork and leadership aligns well with your experience as a team lead.

NYU Stern School of Business:
Nestled in the heart of New York City, Stern provides unparalleled networking opportunities and access to industries such as consumer products.
The school's strong focus on technology and entrepreneurship is particularly advantageous for those interested in pursuing a career in product management.

MIT Sloan School of Management:
Considering your background in data science and your interest in product management, MIT Sloan's focus on technology and innovation makes it a fitting choice.
The school's Action Learning philosophy offers practical experiences that can enhance your consulting skills.

UC Berkeley Haas School of Business:
Haas is renowned for its commitment to diversity and inclusion, aligning well with your aspiration to work with LGBTQ+ brands.
Situated in the San Francisco Bay Area, Haas provides advantageous connections in the tech and consumer products industries.

Before finalizing your selection, carefully evaluate the specific programs, resources, and cultural aspects of each school to ensure alignment with your goals. Additionally, reaching out to current students or alumni for insights can provide valuable perspectives to aid in your decision-making process.

Best of luck with your applications!

We offer a limited number of complimentary profile evaluations each week . We match you with the students and alums of top B-Schools according to your background and target schools. In this call, the experts will try to dig out your USP for top B-schools and provide you with honest feedback on your profile and chances to your target schools.

sv2023 always happy to advise

I see some advice which I dont understand (example HBS), so please understand my advice is based on more practical experience.

I think you have a baseline profile with regards to your GMAT and your business analysis skills across retail, pharma, and customer data architecture teams. Although I would like to know your experience in more detail as I had mentioned in my last post also for you, but I get a sense that if explored, you do have a lot of content that you can leverage just from the experience and growth progression aspects. Having said that, I do not know what the "high" points of your professional profile are. But since you have already applied to a bunch of competitive schools, you would know how your stories are coming out. Depending on that, if you feel you have mostly applied to reach/aspirational schools till now (I feel that), you should now go with some safe schools so you can score a few safe admits at least that would help boost your confidence and give you some negotiation power for the scholarships.

For this reason I suggest you consider - Tepper, Foster (both are solid for product management), and others in the Top 25 - Georgetown, KF, Fischer, Olin, McCombs, Emory(good for consulting) etc. You will have to cast a wide net to result in a few safe converts. Do your own research and see what programs interest you. For example, Olin has a great international immersion program that will provide you hands on exposure to consulting projects globally.

Its great you have a diversity profile, but note that at the more competitive schools, you will be thoroughly vetted for your professional achievements and capabilities and so the competition is still strong.

Feel free to seek professional advice

Great profile! How about adding 2 of the following?

Cornell (Johnson)
Georgetown (McDonough)
Washington (Foster)
Texas (McCombs)

Feels like a good fit for your profile and goals.

Admissionado

Thankyou Admissionado for taking a look at my post. I was actually thinking of Johnson and Tepper/Kelley as they seem safe(atleast right now). any thoughts?

Thanks AanchalMBAGuide for taking the time to write a response. Yes, I do think I have been ambitious with the schools I have written applications for. Hence as you're advising, I was thinking of applying to Cornell, Tepper/Kelley. Haven't really seen the others in the T25 bucket. Should I go lower than Cornell and Tepper for the last two or are these okay??

Yes, I think you should apply to those 3 for R2 and add a couple of others (maybe Georgetown and another one that's very much on the safe side). If you get a response from a school you applied to in R1 (or R2 soon), that should tell you what level you are playing at and prepare your strategy for the other deadlines.

Feel free to connect should you want professional guidance

That feels about right. Johnson isn't a safety-safety (they have gotten more selective lately), but it's a good choice. Indian Kelley at the MBA is much less competitive than at the undergraduate level, so that's a good choice.

If you need any additional help, let us know. We have staff available for the next few weeks to help with last-second applications for R2.
