Hi, i am Ravi would like to network with new people start a new journey together. I have 8 yrs of experience looking to prepare for GMAT.

I have a query too not sure if i can use this thread.

I have 4 yrs gap in career due to medical condition can i give gmat and get through top 15 colleges.

Hi Ravi,

Firstly, kudos to you on deciding to challenge your situation and to opt for higher education. Now, answering your question it would be great to understand about the medical condition. Assuming you were bedridden and could not perform your tasks, that should be explained in your essays. May be u can use the optional essay for this.

Also, whatever the situation might have been, make sure you have a logical and solid explanation for that.

Indeed, a wise and courageous decision post recovering from long illness.

Wish you score high in GMAT..apply thereafter adequately justify the inevitable, long gap in your Application.

Sure enough you will succeed, since you have already taken the first and the most important step ie, taking the decision to pursue MBA

Welcome and sorry to hear about the gap and illness. I would not get discouraged by it. In some twisted way, your gap and illness may actually make your profile more unique in someway and interesting, depending on how are you position this experience. At the same time, it would be helpful if you had some recent work experience so you can get some letters of recommendation and also experience you can leverage for recruiting.
