Yesterday I took official GMAT test at the test center and really frustrated by my verbal score of 31. After this test, I have doubts about GMAT algorithm and i have several questions. The verbal section was very straightforward for me. The question were very easy or medium. I saw 3 or 4 hard questions and the first hard question did not appear before 15th question. Starting the first one, I read each question and answer choices carefully, and i was sure i answered them right. I guessed in one RC question in the middle, then one CR question between 25-30. I hastily solved the 35th (CR) and 36th (SC) question in the last 3 minutes. So out of 36 questions, i wasn't sure about 4, maximum 6 questions that i got wrong or not. Over the past two months I spent hours on verbal section. I purchased GMAT Prep official tests 3-6. In those tests, my verbal scores were 46, 40, 42 and 35. But in those tests, i encountered hard questions mostly, and got 3-10 questions wrong. However, when solving those wrong answers i struggled or made simple mistakes. Also, i solved 10 gmatclub verbal tests and scored 45 in 6 tests, my minimum score was 34. Now I have questions about GMAT algorithm: 1) How many answers should i get wrong in order to get 31? 2) Is it GMAT algorithm 100% accurate? 3) Is it possible to that the algorithm gave only 600 level questions even if answered the previous questions correctly? 4) Is it possible to appeal? After completing verbal section, i was very confident that i would score between 40 and 45. I was very frustrated to see my score. I cancelled my score and no longer want to retake the test again. I previously took the test in 2019 and scored 34 in verbal section. But at that time I had not prepared for verbal sections and the questions seemed very difficult. After yesterday's test i no longer want to take it again)
