I scored a 720 on my GMAT and found out that I received a 4.0 on my AWA. I've already requested a regrade but I am quite upset with myself. I am a native speaker of English and received a 42 Verbal and 40+ on Quant. I have a lengthy history of excelling in my writing classes during my undergraduate years. My question is how bad will this 4.0 hurt my chances at admissions?
720 is a great score and that's what matters. AWA does not get included in school rankings, so they look at it a lot more leniently. However, if you have brilliant essays, that may not add up.
Thanks to another GMAT Club member, I have just discovered this valuable topic, yet it had no discussion for over a year. I am now bumping it up - doing my job. I think you may find it valuable (esp those replies with Kudos).
