I have attempted TOEFL some 4 years back and did manage to get good score in both the sections. I am attempting IELTS next month. I just wanted to know how different are the reading and writing(essay) sections different in both the tests. Can i reuse my toefl study material for the IELTS too for the mentioned sections?

IELTS reading section is mainly depend upon academic levels.
As per my review, IELTS test reading is difficult than TOEFL test reading.

Here the difference is with the type of questions and context. In the IELTS test, you have a wide range of questions. You can also choose either an academic or general exam. This test is not lengthy.
In the TOEFL test, there is only a multiple choice question. This test is lengthy.
