Hi all, I've been going through Forum Quiz here on GMAT club and I've been struggling with managing time in my verbal section. There are questions that I am able to do under 2 minutes but there, at times, longer RC passages that take up more than 4-minutes to complete. This usually puts time pressure on me and I end up with mistakes on my last few questions.

In general, the reason Verbal timing feels so hard to manage is that people try to split their time evenly across all the questions. It doesn't divide that way. A CR question usually takes about two to two and a half minutes, maybe three if it's a hard one. An RC passage is a whole different cost structure: a minute and a half to two minutes to read a short one, three to four for a long one, then about a minute or so per question after that. A short passage set runs around five minutes total. A long one runs seven or eight.
So a passage taking more than four minutes isn't the problem you think it is. That's what it's supposed to cost. You're buying the reading once and spending it across three or four questions. The time comes out of handling CR efficiently, not out of rushing the passage.
If your passages are running well past those ranges, don't try to read faster. That usually backfires, since weaker comprehension costs you more on the questions than you saved on the passage. Figure out what's actually slowing you down. Trying to hold every detail? Getting stuck on jargon? Rereading because you drifted? Read for the main point and what each paragraph is doing, note where the details live, and go back for them when a question asks.
As for the misses at the end, I wouldn't chalk those up to time alone. Could be over-investment earlier in the section. Could be nerves. Could be that certain question types hold up untimed but come apart under the clock. Different fixes, so track what actually happened on each one.
Quiz mode is good for topic-level work. At the same time, it won't teach you to manage a section, because the whole challenge is the mix. Once your accuracy is solid, do full Verbal sets under section timing and see where the clock gets away from you.

I agree with the advice that taking 4+ minutes on a longer RC passage isn’t necessarily an issue. You should give yourself up to two minutes to read the passage, and 1:30 per question.
You may find it helpful to use a benchmarking system to manage your time across the verbal section. That will help you notice earlier on if you’re a little behind, so that you can make adjustments as you go, rather than letting mistakes pile up at the end (where they’re the most impactful).
