I've received my acceptance letter today, 2/26, and I was surprised to see that the school was asking me to deposit non-refundable fee by the 3/1.. which is only 3 days from now.

Is that normal? Because it is an important decision, I thought schools offer little more than few days. They did give me a call on the 2/17.

What do you guys think? is it common to ask for extension?

I need your wisdom and advise!!

Which school? That doesn't sound right. I think it's ok to ask for an extension.

That can't be right, usually schools give you 4-6 weeks to make a decision.

I experienced something very similar with Pepperdine's policy school. Time-frame was about 2 weeks, with 3/1 deposit deadline. Though the deposit was extremely low so it was no problem. But I get the sense it is truly atypical. I'm also curious about the school.

This was for Georgia Tech's FT program. They're very small class, so I assume that's one of the big reason why they want a quick decision. Because they were rolling, they were also very efficient with their decision process.
