8 C 0 + 8 C 1 + 8 C 2 + ...........+ 8 C 8 = 2^8 = 256

how come we dont have to divide???
usually we divide by no. of similar things right??
out of 5 cars 2 are blue and 3 are red. how many ways can we arrange?
5!/(2!*3!).
so why not here?

Each letter has 2 ways to write (either 0 or 1). Because there are 8 letters, numbers of words are 2^8
