Just trying to determine a Acceptance/Ding depends on how many people at the adcom.
Also would second yrs have access to the essays/recos? In some cases I'm seeing that an interview is being conducted before a app is submitted.

School by school basis....
So, it depends.
If you go to the info session of the school and ask about the process, they will share with you.
I think for some schools, this is also in their FAQs

most schools have at least two people read applications. Beyond that it depends on each school.
Some even involve alumni!
