Classof15USA
Hi all!
I'm at the point where I'm applying next year and would like to visit schools in the upcoming academic year to get a sense of where I want to apply and get a feel for the schools I choose to apply to.
I know I will want to apply to 6 schools, and I already am sure of 2 of them. In my universe of schools, there are 10 schools / 7 cities I want to visit, including the two schools I know I want to apply to. Now, two of these cities overlap with preexisting trips I have, leaving 5 trips exclusively necessary for business schools. I'm already hitting up some combos: Duke/UNC, Chicago/Northwestern, NYU/Columbia, so I feel like this is an efficient use of my time.
Is this too many? Any advice on the campus visit aspect? Looking for perspectives on how I can get a better sense of visiting schools ranks #10-#20 can help my decisions.
Thanks in advance!
Why too many? Can you swing it with work?
sure it'll cost you some, but the costs will pale in comparison to what you will pay for B-school, so go for it!
At the end, besides making great contacts and learning a lot about the schools, your visits, will more than anything help you make the best possible choice about where you REALLY want to go, and is a very worthwhile investment.
Cheers,
Jon
