Agree with above: you can create a table with Socks, Not Socks; Batteries, Not Batteries and the Totals. We know the totals for Not Battery and Not Socks = 0. And we know the total for Socks and the total for Batteries but we don't know for exampel the total for Socks and Batteries or Not Socks and Batteries which have an impact of the combined total.
