its marketing gimmick. infact diamond dont have investment value also.... its appreciation is also less.. so its false standard set by diamond sellers

I think either you are planning to buy one (seems to be pretty frustrated), or you did buy one but things didn't work out or people were/are talking behind back(basically judging) regarding the ring that you gave. Anyways I am sorry. I 1000% agree with you though!

P.S: Initially I thought it was an RC question lol :P
