Hey everyone!
In 6.5 weeks I will be taking my GMAT exam (Oct. 2nd to be exact). I have been studying full time for the past 1.5 weeks, and I feel quite overwhelmed because I do not know how to study effectively for the test. Until now, I have been studying for +/- 9 hours per day (only focusing on either Quant or SC) while not giving myself enough breaks during the sessions. I know that this is overkill, and I can also feel that I am overstudying (feeling tired, distracted easily, and not retaining information as well as before).
The hardest part for me is prioritising how and what to study. Therefore, I have a few questions:
- Should I combine studying for Quant and Verbal on the same day?
- How do I most effectively study for the Verbal section? (especially RC and SC)
- Should I make practice exercises every day, or should I first focus to cover ALL of the theory?
- Do I even need all the study materials I have? (listed below) And which ones should I prioritise?
Study Materials:
- OG Materials 2022
-
Manhattan Prep 'All the' series
-
Magoosh (videos & practice questions)
- 'Advanced Quant' from both
Manhattan Prep & OG 2022 ----- Haven't opened these yet
- Powerscore CR Bible ----- Haven't opened this yet
- Kaplan Verbal Workbook ----- Haven't opened this yet
- I also like to watch the GMAT Ninja series for all topics
Some additional Info:
- The coming 2 weeks I can study full time, the 4 weeks after that I will only be able to study 4 days per week
OG Mock 1: 610 (Q47 V28) - This is kind of my 'base score'
OG Mock 2: 620 (Q44 V32) - Did this today, felt quite tired and did not have a lot of concentration, hence the lower Quant score.
The other 4 Mocks will be made every Saturday for the coming 4 weeks
My target score is 690+, since I want to apply to the CEMS MIM at some good uni's in Europe.
Thanks for the help!
