Thanks for your help. Its a little harsh, but all true (just like Brandon said). I'm surprised I didn't catch the formatting issue till now. The problem I have is the fact that I don't know what the 'results' were. It's not like they're gonna tell an intern/temp how much money they made, just because I provided some market research data. I did ask if my input was or could be quantified in some way, but all I got were vague or very broad answers (i.e We are still talking to the client, or 'We are considering all our options', etc.)
To address the resume writing service issue, I'm not entirely convinced its gonna be worth the money, or if there is a 'reputable' company in that space to begin with.
Can you estimate what your results were? I understand it may not be easy to come up with a hard and fast number, but you could always preface with "about X amount..." For example, what was the potential gain "for gaining entry into the international market" or for a "healthcare provider’s entry into India"? Do some research and estimate yourself.
Even if you helped your team make X dollars, it's still worthwhile to mention it - just spin it like "by doing xyz, I had a direct impact on saving x dollars." Again, estimate if you don't know the exact number.
At the very least, you should
qualify your results. Instead of just saying "Collaborated with ... providing IT and BPO services," you should add the impact, even if it isn't quantifiable. Did your work enable employees to more effectively perform their job? You already have your tasks listed. Now think about what the impact could have been. That's the next step!
With respect to resume writing services... First of all, as others have said, with your current resume, no reputable consulting firm will interview you. Presentation matters - a lot. That's a difference of nothing and a nice salary! So I think you can calculate the monetary benefit of having your resume professionally edited.
With that being said, I understand that "a few hundred" seems like a hefty price. I would reach out to family and friends for feedback first (it was a smart move posting in this forum!) and then do research on some editing services. I bet you can find a decent editor for less.
