Hello Everyone, I'm really confused how to improve my verbal scores, I have given two mocks, in my first Kaplan Mock Test, i scored 350 (Q24 V8), I gave this mock without any preparation, after one week of studying i gave another mock from official GMAT site (mba.com), I scored 370 (Q32 V11) with a miniscule increase in my quant scores. I then realize that I had to equally work on my verbal.
Main Question - Should I keep practicing a lot of questions to improve my Verbal or should I first focus on my basics.
I have 3 Months time.
Posted from my mobile deviceHi Saransh,
First of all, let me answer your questions. No! Practicing questions doesn't take you anywhere. You will be repeating the same mistakes and your score most likely remains stagnant. The immediate action you need to take is to change your approach towards prep.
If you need general advice on how to approach your prep, I can give you here. But if you wish to know in detail how to strategize your prep, how to make a study plan, which areas to focus on, then I suggest you we get in touch over a call and discuss things. Because a generic study plan wouldn't suit everyone because everyone has unique requirements, everyone cannot spend same number of hours on a day and everyone has different skill set. So, it is important to know your constraints and then make a proper plan.
Meanwhile you can go through the following recording to understand the right way to approach your prep.
