Hi,
I have started my Gmat prep with a test score of 605.
When will be right time to give gmat for me??
All the ideas are welcome:)
In terms of time of the year - you should take into consideration the MBA deadlines (round 1 vs round 2 vs round 3) as well as any scheduling related to your day job.
Note R1 for most MBA programs is due around the September/October time frame while R2 is usually the first week of January. It varies by school so check each school's deadline.
R1 is the ideal time to apply if you can. You'll want to budget 1 month or so to work on essays. When you get letters of recommendation from your boss and ex-colleagues, you'll want to give them ample time to get back to you. You'll need at least another month or 2 to focus only on GMAT (don't do essays and GMAT at the same time!)...
So generally speaking, if you are shooting for a September 1 deadline, then you should start preparing in June/July to give yourself a comfortable enough time space. Of course, you can also choose to procrastinate - for some people that's effective. So do what works for you.
