This is really helpful! I completely agree that smart studying and time management make a big difference. Breaking goals into smaller targets and regular revision have been key for me too. Do you have any specific tips for improving retention, especially for tough subjects?

Practicing problems topic-wise, and addressing the same at various difficulty levels also assists immensely.

All the Best.
You are very right.

If im being honest everytime i have made a study plan i never ever followed it. So no im not saying dont make a study plan but rather make a super realistic one one that you can actually follow. How i did was that i made mini study plans. So in the morning i would set out certain things i want to do for the day and that too in order and try my best to complete the task i aimed to finished.

Can see this helping people who feel they have a tendency to procrastinate. If specific tasks are written down in the morning to be completed during the day (e.g. complete a mock by noon, etc.), they may be less inclined to let things slide into the next.

Scoring a high percentage in exams becomes easier when you follow a well-planned, consistent, and focused study routine. A smart study plan keeps you organized, reduces exam stress, and helps you track your preparation almost like performing an check to confirm your progress. Start by understanding your complete syllabus and identifying high-weightage topics so you can prioritize what truly matters. Set realistic daily and weekly goals to maintain consistency rather than relying on last-minute cramming. Use time-blocking by studying difficult subjects when your mind is fresh and leaving lighter revision for later hours. Strengthen your preparation with active revision methods such as past papers, mock tests, and short summaries, as they help you retain information more effectively. Keep distractions to a minimum by cleaning your study space, limiting phone usage, and creating a focused environment. Make sure to review your performance regularly so you can recognize weak areas and devote extra time to them before exams. Support your study efforts with healthy habits like proper sleep, hydration, and short breaks to maintain mental clarity. When all these strategies come together, you create a powerful system that significantly boosts your chances of achieving an excellent percentage in exams.

With GMAT, in particular, the emphasis on speed building is everything - attempts to solve questions accurately but QUICKLY can follow the initial focus on concept mastery and theory. It's like getting so good with your material that even 45 minutes a section seems ample. I'm nowhere there but it's the only approach that's been bumping up my mock scores.
