Congrats on hitting 565! Verbal’s your hurdle, so try Manhattan Prep’s verbal guides for CR and SC—do 5 passages daily to build confidence. Quant’s stuck at 78-79; review algebra and number properties fundamentals with Magoosh’s videos, then hit hard questions. DI’s timing issue needs TPA practice—use GMAT Official Practice for 10 daily timed sets. Cut study to 5-6 hours, with 2 hours per section, and log mistakes. Take a mock every 10 days. Your plan’s solid, but a tutor for verbal could boost you to 650. Stay consistent and rest well!

Awesome effort climbing to 565!
Quant’s stuck; hit statistics and word problems with GMAT Club’s Forum quiz to push past 79. DI’s time crunch needs MSR drills—use GMAT Club for 10 questions daily, targeting 8 correct. Magoosh works, but add GMAT Official Practice for realism. Take a mock every 8-10 days. You’re set for 650+ by June—keep at it and rest up!

1. You need to start the error log. Work on weakness.
2. Master 1 topic at a time. Use streak method, easy (20 right in a row) move to next level until you are (18 in a row for medium) and 15-17 for 700 level.
3. Never leave any question unattempted.
4. Keep tab on time, any question looks going beyond 2.5 mins guess mark and move on.

Try to find your weak sections and then use Fourim Quiz to solve quizzes at various difficulty levels. Also, take note of mistakes you make, try to write why the mistake was made and how it can be avoided next time.

Hope it helps! Good luck with your prep

Hi darg71,

Since you seem to need improvement in all sections of the GMAT, here is some advice on how to move forward with your prep.

Regarding improving your GMAT skills, my biggest piece of advice is to ensure you are studying topically. In other words, be sure to focus on just ONE quant or verbal topic at a time and practice just that topic until you achieve mastery. If you can study that way, you will start seeing incremental improvement.

For example, let's say you are studying Number Properties. First, you'll need to learn all you can about that topic, and then practice only Number Property questions. After each problem set, thoroughly analyze your incorrect questions. For example, ask yourself why if you got a remainder question wrong. Did you make a careless mistake? Did you not properly apply the remainder formula? Was there a concept you did not understand in the question?

By carefully analyzing your mistakes, you will be able to fix your weaknesses efficiently and, in turn, improve your GMAT quant skills. Number Properties is just one example; follow this process for all quant and verbal topics.

For some more tips on the best way to structure your studying, here is a great article:

Good luck!
