Do the fun little non-refundable admission deposits count towards 1st year's tuition, or should I consider this additional administrative overhead?

All the schools I've looked into deduct the deposit amount from your first semester/quarter's payment. Obviously check with your school's finaid folks to be sure though!

Nah, I'll take your word for it, and if it's not the case I'll just blame you!

Sounds good though, I'll factor that extra 3K into my MBA financial planning... yet another random row to add into this convoluted spreadsheet...

One good thing about applying Early Decision, I've already paid $7,000 towards my tuition!

On a separate note, this spreadsheet is great for planning purposes. Caveat it is written by somebody pushing a specific loan financing option but still.
