I like the solution - it’s helpful. For statement two, I combined E (40%), C (20%), and D (10%) as they are the three smallest carbohydrate percentages that would still satisfy the 3+ ingredient requirement for the statement.

Didnt get the right approach to solve this, However on reviewing..came up with this strategy....

All must be mixed 1:1 and mineral should be 10%...
With mineral 10%.........So 10/1 or 20/2 0r 30/3 or 40/4 or 50/5.....This should be the total mineral while selecting 1 or 2 or 3 or 4 or 5...respectively
B is possible
C is possible
B+C is possible
ABDE is possible...0+10+5+25 = 40/4
ACDE is possible ...0+10+5+25 = 40/3...
ABCDE is possible....0+10+10+5+25 = 50/5....

Now lets check 1 by 1 quickly....

Statement 1
There is only one way to select an ingredient or combination of ingredients that results in more than 20% fat.
Only C..fat more than 20%....
B+C...40+10..50/2..Fat 25% ....hence false...

Statement 2.
The percentage of carbohydrate will always be more than 40% in a mix containing three or more ingredients....
There are only 3 combinations with 3 or more...and total of their carb should be more than 200...

ACDE...90+20+10+40 = 160/4....40%...So No ..false...There is 1 combination that is not more than 40%

Statement 3
Clearly false as we have already identified blend that can have 4 ingredients....

Bunuel
The table below shows the composition of five ingredients as a percentage of four nutrients. These ingredients contain no other nutrients. When selecting ingredients to create a blend, they must either be used alone or combined in equal proportions. For example, if A, B, and C are chosen, they must be mixed in a 1:1:1 ratio. Regardless of the selection, the resulting blend must contain exactly 10% minerals.

Composition
IngredientsCarbohydrateProteinFatMineral
A901000
B50301010
C20304010
D1050355
E4035025

For each of the following statements, select True if the statement can be verified to be true based on the information provided. Otherwise, select False.

I did not quite understand the solution. just one question, why are we finding the average of every ingredient combination?

You do not need to find every possible blend. Since each statement is a Ture or False claim, a single valid blend that contradicts the statement is enough to mark it as False. The solution lists multiple blends only for illustration and completeness, to show how the condition is evaluated, but logically one counterexample already disproves the statement.
