Hi guys,
Wonder whether it's less compelling for investment bankers to write their short-term goal as to join a private equity firm? I mean easily forgotten by adcom officer?
Then how about taking a leadership program at large MNC companies, say Amazon?

Wonder whether it's less compelling for investment bankers to write their short-term goal as to join a private equity firm? I mean easily forgotten by adcom officer?
If PE is going to be seen as realistic for anyone- and it is hard to do for anyone post MBA- but those that have the best shot would be people like you with the strong finance background from I Banking analyst role. It would be a logical next step. But I would not worry so much about how adcom sees it but what you want to do. Adcom can tell from how you talk about your goals and what you have done to reach them if it is realistic and makes sense for you- so better to be honest about what you want to do then worry what adcom thinks. As long as you have done your research and can convey passion and that you are serious about it- it should be fine. Certainly PE and the leadership programs like at Amazon are both quite popular goals in the MBA admissions world- so go with what is most authentic to you and live it and that will come through in your applications. ) so can you do it? Coming from IB, yeah... but you really have to really want it, and be prepared to make a case for it. Cause that's what everyone else wants to.
