By the very looks, one can say that both sides are equal.
\(1+\frac{1}{x} = \frac{x+1}{x}\),
\(\frac{x+1}{x} = \frac{x+1}{x}\),
So x can take any value. The only exception is 0, as 0 in the denominator will make the fraction undefined.

\(x + \frac{1}{ x}\) is also represented as \(\frac{x + 1}{x}\).
For x = 0, \(\frac{1}{ 0}\) will be undefined. For all other values, expressions will yield the same values.
